CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history.
In our tests, CCleaner detected a whopping 7GB of log files created by Windows, which it automatically flagged for deletion. Many of these were hundreds of megabytes in size. However, log files can be useful if your computer is misbehaving, as they contain error messages to assist you or a technician.
They're not supposed to get anywhere near this large, and old logs just tend to sit unused and take up space, but we'd prefer to keep at least the most recent one by default, in case something goes haywire later. These were previously installed Windows Update patches.

Need to be careful with checking boxes or some important files can be removed too. I have been using this software for a while. I also use it to uninstall programs that i don't need any more. If you want something simple and powerful at the same time then try out this software.
